Tony Bernard, a senior program manager on the BizTalk Team revealed today on the BizTalk/EDI blog that HIPAA support is getting rolled into the new "native" EDI engine in R2; meaning there will no longer be a separate HIPAA accelerator package for R2.
This can only be good news for BizTalk customers looking out for R2, which is shaping up to be a very interesting release adding a lot of very valuable and useful features for customers. On a side note, I personally haven't used the HIPAA or HL7 accelerators since they are not standards used around here.
