I downloaded the Safari 3.0 for Windows beta last week. Not that I'm particularly interested in moving off Firefox right now, but I thought it might be a useful testing tool for those rare occasions I do web development.

Unfortunately, it hasn't proved very successful yet :-). With the original build 3.0.1 I got bitten by the "no text except in Apple WebSites" problem. A quick examination revealed that Safari refused to render any text in a font different from Lucida Grande (now, that's a nice font, but this might be taking it a little too far!).

So I downloaded build 3.0.2 yesterday, hoping it would fare better. Nope, no such luck. This one crashes hard during startup:
