The Visual Studio 2010 Beta 1 text editor has a new feature that other IDEs have had for a while: Highlighting the definition and uses/references of a type/method/property/variable on the current file when the caret is next to it:
This is a pretty useful feature and I’m glad its now being supported in the editor. What I didn’t find as obvious is that the background and foreground colors used for the highlight can be found in the Fonts and Colors dialog under the “Warning Lines Path” entry.
