Open Source in the Microsoft World

Link. December 9, 2006. Comments [0]. Posted in: .NET | Development | Tools

Ayende posted a pretty compeling piece about the problems faced by the Open Source tooling projects in the Microsoft World (mostly .NET). I think he makes a lot of good points and I tend to agree with what he sayd overall (and I've said some of it in the past). I don't see it changing in the future, though, unless people (i.e. we, the community) force Microsoft to do so by not choosing he crappy replacements Microsoft sometimes put out.
