i have problum with Workflows, there are two types of activites CODE and Designer.

i want to have Designer activity with code behind, since it is auto generated and cnnot be changed , i want it to be editable.

Any chance you’re hitting the same issue on vbox that I hit on VMWare with scrolling?

Scrolling got much faster after I made that change.

@Noah: It does help to know this stuff is being looked up. I didn’t mean to sound too negative about it. I do like a lot of stuff in the new editor, but performance is just a one of those “make or break” usability issues for me. It just doesn’t matter how cool the IDE is if it’s painfully slow to use

A lot of people here certainly do care about remote desktop scenarios I know that WPF tests with both vmware and virtualPC pretty heavily (and made lots of improvements in those and RDP scenarios since Beta 1), but I’m not sure if they test with virtual box (I’m still checking with them on that). Also, I do know that there was a pretty big perf improvement for scrolling in the editor around the outlining margin, but that didn’t make it into beta 2. You can see how much that is affecting things by turning off outlining (e.g. for C# – Tools -> Options -> Text Editor -> C# -> Advanced -> uncheck “Enter outlining mode when files open”).

The line number issue (looking bad at zoom) is a bug fixed post Beta 2.

The exception handling stuff should get better post Beta 2 as well – we’ve added in code in most places that call into extensions to protect against exceptions being thrown (and stick information in the activity log).

I don’t know how helpful that really is, but hopefully it is some comfort that things should improve in the future.
